Overview
Arthur Rosen and Peter Faber addressed key state and local tax issues for 2018. Mr. Rosen singled out “the manner in which states decouple from — or conform to — the federal tax changes,” especially for tax treatment of controlled foreign corporations and the depreciation and amortization allowance. Mr. Faber predicted “more states extending their False Claims Acts to tax matters,” creating what he called a “misguided bandwagon.”
