Ashley Winton discussed the EU’s new General Data Protection Regime (GDPR) at the International Auto Finance Network conference. Mr. Winton said the new rules identify personal data for protection as “any information relating to an individual, whether it relates to private, professional or public life,” and he advised that companies should have a detailed audit trail to prove which data disclosure consents were shown to consumers and when.
