McDermott Will & Schulte is pleased to announce the additions of special counsel Brandon Elliott and associate Adam Birnbaum to the Structured Finance group in our Miami, Florida office. Both Brandon and Adam join from Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

Brandon brings over a decade’s worth of experience in fund finance having represented both lenders and borrowers across varied asset classes and all facets of fund finance transactions, including NAV/ABL and back-leverage facilities, rated notes issuances, subscription line facilities, management company facilities, GP stakes transactions and professional partner loan programs. Brandon has been recognized as a Florida Rising Star by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” for Banking & Finance.

Adam joins the firm with six years of experience in the fund finance space. He represents private equity funds and commercial borrowers in various domestic and international financing matters, such as subscription line facilities, asset-based secured credit and professional loan programs. Adam has been recognized by Private Funds CFO in 2025 on its list of “New Faces of Finances”, as a Florida Rising Star by Super Lawyers and most recently by the Fund Finance Association as a 2025 “Rising Star.”
