Claire Slack focuses her practice on cybersecurity and data privacy matters. She routinely works with clients on responses to data breaches, including participating on incident response teams, coordinating with forensic and notification firms, assisting on post-breach cyber assessments and remediation efforts, and reviewing compromised data sets. She has been involved in data breaches relating to a range of cyber incidents–including those involving criminal hackers and ransomware threats–and has worked with technology companies, telecommunications providers, financial service institutions and healthcare companies. She also has experience in breaches involving consumer, employee, health and proprietary data.
Claire also advises on electronic discovery relating to intellectual property and complex litigation matters. She ensures that defensible approaches are employed to meet discovery obligations and statutory schemes. Claire brings an in-depth knowledge of evolving and cutting-edge developments in the area of e-discovery, and has co-authored an article entitled “Handling Japanese-Chinese-Korean documents during e-Discovery.”
Claire previously served as an extern for the Honorable William M. Bryne of the US District Court for the Central District of California.
While in law school, Claire was the lead articles editor of the Southwestern University Law Review.
