Jacob Hollinger practices commercial and environmental litigation as part of McDermott’s Energy Practice Group. He also provides counseling on carbon finance, climate change, environmental compliance and environmental risk management. Prior to joining McDermott, Jacob was a commercial litigator at another highly regarded AmLaw 100 firm, an Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York and a high-ranking Clean Air Act enforcement attorney for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Jacob’s matters have involved engines, fuels, power plants, refineries, chemical plants, landfills, solar installations, waste-to-energy operations, wind farms, renewable fuel identification numbers and tradeable emission credits. He has worked with all major federal environmental statutes, handled over 200 Clean Air Act matters and litigated a diverse range of topics from Superfund liability to housing discrimination to breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.
