His experience covers a broad range of derivatives, including OTC trading agreements, structured notes, options, forwards and swaps, and financing arrangements including NAV facilities, subscription lines, hybrid transactions, preferred share issuances, collateralized fund obligations and margin loans. He also has extensive experience with the repackaging of receivables, warehouse lending, capital relief trades (CRTs) and other structured transactions that combine securitization techniques and derivative products.

He also represents clients in physical and financial commodity transactions, including inventory financing and monetization, intermediation arrangements, lien-based structures and master agreements for the energy markets. Over the course of his career, Jonathan has worked with clients whose products span the gamut of natural resources and commodities, including crude oil and refined products, base and precious metals, agricultural products, natural gas liquids and all types of renewables.

A regular speaker and commentator, Jonathan is a frequent panelist at industry conferences, has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times, and co-hosted a podcast on cryptocurrency law and regulation. Earlier in his career, Jonathan was vice president and assistant general counsel at JP Morgan in New York, vice president of Bear Stearns and vice president of the hedge fund, D. E. Shaw & Co., LP.
