Alva Mather is speaking on a panel on June 8 during the annual Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI) Legal and Practical Issues in Cannabis Regulation. “Can U.S. Tobacco and Alcohol Regulation Inform Federal Cannabis Regulation?” covers the country’s current approach to two product categories that commercially available despite known health risks and abuse potential: tobacco and nicotine products and alcohol beverages. Alva and her co-panelist will discuss where federal regulatory bodies would benefit from a similar structure and approach for cannabis products.
