Overview
Roger Kuan and Jason Novak will be participating in the HITLAB World Cup Challenge.
The goal of the Challenge is to invite innovators, entrepreneurs, and startups, as either individuals or teams, to propose novel concepts to fulfill or mitigate the unmet needs of women all over the world. Solutions can include software, diagnostics, digital products, or services that leverage technology to improve outcomes and access to care for women.
With more than $1 billion in funding between 2015 and 2018, products and services supporting women are set to be the next big disruptors in the global healthcare market. Indeed, Femtech has been noted for 2018 as one of the hottest areas to be in. It’s known to be a $50 billion industry by 2025 and is going to impact 50 percent of the population.
The majority of the companies participating in this year’s HITLAB World Cup Challenge are founded by minority women and out of the five finalists they have named, four are founded by people of color.
