Webinar Series | Medicare Advantage and Part D Insights – Part Two

Overview

The New Medicare Advantage and Part D Rules and Guidance: A Deeper Dive into Benefits Flexibility, AWP, Star Ratings and Encounter Data, and New Drug Pricing Proposals

Recent Medicare Advantage and Part D issuances reflect significant policy and operational changes for the two programs. The Final Regulation and the Final Call Letter, both released on April 2, span over 1,400 pages in new regulations and subregulatory guidance. Join McDermott’s Managed Care team for the second in a two-part webinar series on key changes implemented by CMS in April along with critical takeaways for health plans, other industry stakeholders, and their counsel.

The second briefing in this two-part series will take a deeper dive into key areas of change in the Medicare Advantage and Part D Programs. McDermott’s Managed Care team will provide a detailed analysis of new benefits flexibility for Medicare Advantage plans, including expansions in permissible supplemental benefits, new authority to target benefits based on health status, and even more significant flexibilities for individuals with chronic conditions. They will also share valuable insights regarding changes in the Quality Star Ratings program and Part D Any Willing Pharmacy rules, and monitoring efforts focusing on the submission of encounter data to the federal government.

The Managed Care team will also delve into the president’s new blueprint for drug pricing reform and address the significance of the proposed changes for Part D plan sponsors and their pharmacy benefit managers.
