McDermott partner Arne Fuchs spoke at an event in Central Asia which examined the interaction between the New York Convention and domestic legislation of Central Asian countries. The conference was hosted in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on November 30, 2018.

Organised by the International Court of Arbitration (ICA) and in affiliation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Kyrgyz Republic, the conference was attended by high ranking representatives of arbitral institutions, governments and international organizations as well as arbitrators and lawyers.
