Overview
Partners Darren Azman and Joe Evans spoke on the panel, “The Intersection of Cryptocurrency and Bankruptcy” at the Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute in Atlanta. The panel explored key issues that arise in crypto-related bankruptcy cases. Topics included claims reconciliation, crypto-tracing, recovering stolen cryptocurrency, valuation disputes, and issues specific to decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). The panelists brought a unique perspective, as they have been addressing many of these issues in their roles as advisors to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors and the Liquidation Trust in the first major US-based cryptocurrency chapter 11 case, Cred. Inc.
