Andrea Kramer co-authored this bylined article questioning employer use of Harvard’s Implicit Attitude Test (IAT) in diversity programs. Given concerns about reliability and validity, the authors called the IAT “useless for diversity initiatives” and wrote that to discard it is “a highly salutary development, for it allows businesses to stop worrying about their employees’ unconscious psychological preferences and start focusing on their actual practices, policies and culture.”
