ORANGE COUNTY (April 21, 2022) – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that Partners Judy Mohr, PhD and Douglas (Doug) Carsten have been named to Daily Journal’s 2022 Top Intellectual Property Lawyers list. The annual award recognizes standout lawyers in California based on their career accomplishments and major achievements in the area of intellectual property over the past year.
Judy’s practice encompasses US and non-US patent procurement, post-grant proceedings (including reexamination and inter partes review), IP due diligence on the investor side and the company side, negotiation of agreements, and development of IP strategies. She assists companies in the pharmaceutical, medical diagnostics, medical device, and gas and liquid separations industries.
Doug focuses his practice on complex patent litigation disputes. He counsels clients in various technology areas, including pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, diagnostic products, retail products and computer software. He has substantial first-chair trial experience that includes litigating high-profile and billion dollar patent cases. Doug is also co-chair of the Firm’s global Life Sciences Practice Group.
