McDermott Will & Emery advised Alcentra on the refinancing of Livingbridge Enterprise LLP’s portfolio company Brainlabs including advising Alcentra on the acquisition financing to support a bolt-on acquisition by Brainlabs of the Canadian company MediaNet Inc.
Brainlabs is one of the fastest growing digital marketing agencies globally. MediaNet is a programmatic agency predominantly based in Canada and North America.
Founded in 2002, Alcentra is one of Europe’s largest and longest tenured managers of private debt with over $40bn of assets under management (including accounts managed by Alcentra NY, LLC, Alcentra Limited and assets managed by Alcentra personnel for affiliates under dual officer arrangements). Strategies include senior loans, high yield bonds, direct lending, structured credit, distressed debt and multi-strategy credit. Alcentra has grown its European Direct Lending business to c.$11 billion AUM over the past six years and its third vintage of funds represents c.€6 billion of investable capital.
