Munich, June 13, 2023 – McDermott Will & Emery has advised DBAG ECF III, a fund managed by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG), on the successful closing of the sale of its shares in BTV Multimedia GmbH.
The shares in BTV Multimedia previously held by the fund DBAG ECF III were acquired by French ETC Group, which is majority-owned by Cinven. For DBAG ECF III, the transaction marks the first sale of a management buy-out from its portfolio.
BTV Multimedia is a leading provider of equipment and services for broadband telecommunications in Europe. The BTV group companies include ANEDiS, braun teleCom, DKT, Fionis, Holm, Pott and STW.
At DBAG, Matthias Döll and Carolin Keferstein oversaw the legal aspects of the transaction.
The McDermott team was led by partner Holger H. Ebersberger and comprised partner Hanno M. Witt as well as associates Sebastian Gerstner and Manuel Weiß.
