International law firm McDermott Will & Emery announces the arrival of Intellectual Property partner Adam Burrowbridge in the Washington, DC office. Adam joins former Wilson Sonsini colleague Doug Carsten at the Firm, further bolstering our IP litigation capabilities and expanding our east coast life sciences practice.

Adam specializes in managing large-scale IP litigation and also has a strong appellate litigation background. He routinely represents clients in all phases of litigation, including during appellate proceedings at the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. His work in patent litigations cover a wide range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, software, medical devices and consumer products. He also represents clients in commercial litigation and arbitration matters.

Adam received his JD from American University, Washington College of Law and his BS from James Madison University.
Adam is McDermott’s latest arrival to the Intellectual Property practice following a string of partner hires including Shane Nichols in Atlanta, as well as Michael Siekman and Jenny Chen in Boston.
