ORANGE COUNTY/ SILICON VALLEY (May 17, 2023) – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that partners Douglas (Doug) Carsten and Bhanu K. Sadasivan, PhD have been named in the Daily Journal’s 2023 Top Intellectual Property Lawyers list. The annual award recognizes standout lawyers in California based on career accomplishments and major achievements in the area of intellectual property over the past year.
Doug focuses his practice on complex patent litigation disputes and has substantial first-chair trial experience that includes litigating high-profile, billion-dollar patent cases. As Co-chair of McDermott’s Global Life Sciences practice, Doug counsels clients in various technology areas including pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, diagnostic products, retail products and computer software.
Bhanu’s practice focuses on patent litigation, with an emphasis on the life sciences industry. She has experience litigating patent cases concerning recombinant DNA technology, pharmaceutical formulation, computer hardware and software.
