McDermott Represents PowerUp in its $250 Million Initial Public Offering

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery represented PowerUp Acquisition Corp., a video game-focused special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), in its $250 million initial public offering (IPO) of 25 million units at a price of $10 per unit. The units will be listed on The Nasdaq Global Market (Nasdaq) under the ticker symbol “PWUP.”

  • The deal was announced on February 14, 2022 and is expected to close on February 23, 2022, subject to customary closing conditions.
  • The McDermott team was led by Ari Edelman and included Eric Klee, Caroline Sandy and Michael Raimondi.
