Overview


Connor Suozzo focuses his practice on litigation in the US Supreme Court, US Courts of Appeals, and state appellate courts across the country, concerning a variety of areas including constitutional law, statutory interpretation, and administrative law. He also litigates major motions at the trial-court level.

Prior to joining McDermott, Connor worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Raymond Gruender in the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and as an associate at an international law firm. During law school, he was a member of the Georgetown Appellate Litigation Clinic and an executive board member of the moot court team.

Results


  • Won reversal of a grant of summary judgment on a prisoner’s First Amendment retaliation claim in the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit*
  • Won dismissal for lack of personal jurisdiction of an employment-discrimination claim brought against an international technology company*
  • Helped obtain a preliminary injunction against a federal agency regarding claims under the Administrative Procedure Act, blocking an immigration policy detrimental to asylum seekers*
