Matthew J. Friendly focuses his practice on general health matters, with an emphasis on health care mergers and acquisitions and health care private equity transactions.
While in law school, Matthew was a Harvey T. Reid Scholar, received the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement in the Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program and won first place in the 2012 University of Miami Negotiation Competition. While earning his bachelor’s degree, he was the executive director and outreach director of Harvard’s College Diabetes Network chapter, an advocacy and mentoring group for college students with diabetes.
Represented a private equity fund in its purchase of a dental management services organization and assets of 39 managed dental practices in Texas for approximately $135 million
Represented a Nevada-based hospitalist services company in its sale to a private equity buyer for $44.7 million
Represented the owners of multiple pain-management clinics, ambulatory surgical centers and affiliated ancillary facilities in Georgia in their sale and merger into a competitor for approximately $86.5 million
Represented a private equity buyer in its purchase of all of the outstanding capital stock of an emergency medicine practice and the equity interests of an affiliated billing entity for approximately $90 million
