Luke Barrett advises clients on corporate restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency-related matters, including large bankruptcies and out-of-court restructurings. He represents parties involved in distressed situations, having worked with debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, agents, trustees and equity holders with interests across a wide range of industries such as manufacturing, food and beverages, energy and exploration, entertainment and more.

Luke also maintains an active pro bono practice focused on helping clients pursue remedies for violations of their constitutional rights. He also represents individuals seeking to obtain citizenship in the United States.

  • Steering committee of term loan lenders and debtor-in-possession lenders in connection with the chapter 11 cases of Cineworld Group Plc, a publicly-listed company on the London Stock Exchange and the world’s second-largest cinema chain with operations in 10 countries, across 787 locations and 9,500 screens.
  • Ad hoc group of first lien term lenders and debtor-in-possession lenders to Libbey Inc., one of the world’s largest table glass and stemware manufacturers, with respect to the company’s chapter 11 cases.
  • Ad hoc secured bondholder group in connection with a chapter 11 credit bid for substantially all of the assets of Techniplas LLC, a leading global provider of highly engineered plastics systems and components.
