Overview
Abigail Nott advises clients on various international and onshore private client matters. She focuses on tax and trust and estate planning for UK and non-UK individuals, with an emphasis on integrated international tax planning and structuring. Abigail joined the Firm from a renowned law firm based in London, where she was able to take part in a twelve month secondment in Zurich, Switzerland.
Results
- Advised UK resident domiciled and non-UK domiciled individuals on the regularization of their tax affairs under the Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility and UK/Swiss Tax Co-operation Agreements, and by making voluntary disclosures to Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC)
- Advised clients on their exposure to the annual tax on enveloped dwellings and on-going reporting obligations
- Advised individuals on their residence and domicile statuses, pre-immigration planning and on structuring the acquisition of UK investments including residential property
- Advised UK and non-UK domiciliaries on putting in place tax-efficient wills, including clients with assets in multiple jurisdictions
