Overview
Taylor Hood advises healthcare companies on a variety of litigation, regulatory and healthcare policy matters. Taylor focuses his practice on issues that arise in the managed care sector for both payors and providers, including provider payments, health benefits and insurance practices. He also counsels clients in arbitration and before state medical boards, with experience before the Texas Medical Board. With a particular emphasis on the Texas market, Taylor also supports the Firm’s transactional work by assisting healthcare clients and investors in structuring and executing transactions.
While in law school, Taylor was the managing editor for the Houston Law Review, and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Gray H. Miller of the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the Honorable Jennifer Walker Elrod of the US Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. While in law school, he received the Ewer-Oren J.D. Health Law Writing Award and the Prudential Life Insurance Scholarship for academic excellence.
