November 20, 2025 – International law firm McDermott Will & Schulte’s global investigations & compliance practice has been recognized in Global Investigations Review’s GIR 100 2025, highlighting the firm’s strength in handling complex corporate investigations and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Over the past two years, the firm has strengthened its investigations team with key hires across Europe and the US, including Milan partner Fabio Cozzi; former federal prosecutors Franklin Monsour Jr. and Guy Singer; FCPA specialists Caitlin Sheard, Anne Murray, and Kelly Newsome; and Sagar Ravi, former head of the complex frauds and cybercrime unit at the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. The practice is led by Simon Airey in London and Nicolette Kost de Sèvres, who splits her time between Paris and Washington, DC. Other key members contributing to the practice include Julian André, Benton Curtis, Edward Diskant, Joseph Evans, Gordon Greenberg, Todd Harrison, and Steven Scholes.
The practice continues to handle high-profile matters across multiple sectors, the group’s work extends into gambling, life sciences and emerging digital assets. The firm has an established and dedicated crypto litigation and regulatory defence team, reflecting the firm’s preparedness to formalise capability in areas where enforcement is evolving rapidly.
More than 75 lawyers contribute to the team from offices in London, Paris, Milan, New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Miami, combining courtroom experience with regulatory expertise to manage complex, cross-border investigations.
