PARIS (22nd December 2017) – McDermott Will & Emery has advised Chauffeur Privé, the second largest French chauffeur rental services company (18,000 chauffeurs), in connection with the acquisition of a majority (over 50%) stake by the German car manufacturer Daimler.

Since its creation in 2011, nearly 1.5 million customers have signed up to the Chauffeur Privé service, securing its position as the second fastest growing start-up in 2016 in France.

McDermott Will & Emery worked alongside Chauffeur Privé with a team led by Grégoire Andrieux (partner), including Marie-Muriel Barthelet and Claire Barra on corporate aspects, Lionel Lesur (partner), on competition law aspects, Romain Perray (partner), on data protection aspects and Myrtille Lapuelle (counsel) on social law aspects.
