Represented Chicago Public Media/WBEZ, one of the largest and most respected public media organizations in the country, in its acquisition of the Chicago Sun-Times, the second largest newspaper circulation in Chicago. This partnership will provide more than 2 million people in the Chicago area news across broadcast, print and digital channels as one combined local nonprofit organization.

Advised Belden Inc., on the acquisition of macmon secure GmbH from RPC Verwaltungs-GmbH. The transaction also includes macmon secure subsidiary CloudSDP GmbH. The acquisition was made by Belden’s German subsidiary Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH, which is also a technology partner of macmon secure GmbH.

Advised Andera Partners, a leading private equity and mezzanine sponsorless player through its Andera Acto activity, on the acquisition from Henkel Group, a leading solution provider for adhesive technologies, beauty, laundry and homecare, of a portfolio of iconic brands in cleaning products space. Together, these brands represent more than 500 years of know-how.

Advised Sterling Partners on the acquisition of a stake in the Lecturio Group. Lecturio raised a total of 40 million euros in fresh capital as part of a financing round in which Sterling Partners was joined by other new and existing stakeholders. Lecturio is an e-learning provider that distributes video-based learning concepts for the fields of law, medicine, taxes and business.

Represented Del Taco Restaurants Inc., the nation’s second largest Mexican quick service restaurant (QSR) chain by number of restaurants, in its sale to Jack in the Box Inc., one of the nation’s leading QSR chains. Combined, the companies will have over 2,800 restaurants across 25 states and Guam.

Advised Halder portfolio company ANKER on the acquisition of POS service provider PORESY. The acquisition continues ANKER Group’s growth trajectory and expands its service offering to include software development, customization, implementation and long-term support of POS systems, including 24/7 first and second level support.

Represented Apex Clean Energy in the sale of its 300-megawatt wind power project El Sauz, to JERA Americas, a Houston-based subsidiary of global energy leader JERA Co. The project is set to power over 240,000 homes around the Texas area.
