Emily Burger focuses her practice on commercial litigation matters and white-collar criminal defense.
Prior to joining McDermott, Emily served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Steven C. Seeger of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. While in law school, she was articles editor for the Journal of Criminal Law & Criminology and a civil procedure teaching assistant. She also worked in the Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth and served as a judicial extern to the Hon. Marvin E. Aspen of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
