On July 12, 2023, Jeanette Suarez Hunter presented at “Estate Planning in Depth: Current Trends 2023” hosted by the American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education (ALI CLE). The yearly program delivers expert insights and timely advice on the significant laws and trends affecting estate and trust planning. Jeanette’s panel “Planning for the Successful Trust Termination” discussed the various considerations related to an inevitable trust termination – including fiduciary decisions, investment planning, income taxes, transfer taxes, special assets, family harmony and winding up the trust.
