McDermott Advises NORD Holding on Acquisition of Suter Group by Heizkurier Group

Munich, October 4, 2023 – McDermott Will & Emery has advised NORD Holding on the acquisition of the Swiss Suter Group by Heizkurier Group.

With the acquisition, NORD Holding is implementing its growth and sustainability-focused strategy for Heizkurier to establish a market leader for equipment-as-a-service of mobile heating solutions in the DACH region. With around 180 employees at 17 locations, the combined group aims at further internationalization and expansion of its mobile refrigeration business. The existing management and the founders of Suter participate in the merger.

Founded in 2007, Heizkurier Group is a leading provider of rental and sales of mobile heating and cooling solutions. The group is headquartered in Wachtberg and runs ten service sites in Germany and Austria. The rental equipment pool includes more than 1,000 mobile heating and cooling units with capacities ranging from 10 kW to 5,000 kW.

Suter Group, headquartered in Lupfig, Switzerland, is considered a pioneer in green pellet technology and rents environmentally friendly hot air and hot water systems to its customers. Suter’s rental equipment fleet includes more than 500 mobile pellet heating systems with an output of 50 to 1,000 kW.

NORD Holding is a private equity and asset management company with assets under management of 3 billion euros. The focus of the direct business is on the structuring and financing of corporate succession models, the acquisition of group divisions/subsidiaries and the expansion financing of medium-sized companies. The Fund Investments unit targets the micro and small cap segment of mid-market-oriented private equity funds in Europe.
