Joel Chefitz, who (with David Hanselman, Amanda Metts, Michelle Lowery, Katharine O’Connor and Chelsea Black) representsSteel Dynamics in an alleged price fixing case, said that a federal judge gave his client the benefit of dismissing an earlier settlement with indirect steel purchasers in the case. Mr. Chefitz added that his client could not oppose the settlement it negotiated, and that the judge noted the settlement may have been appropriate at one time.
