Norbert Schulte, commenting on the surge in acquisitions of small and mid-sized German companies, said that target company managers “want to be sure the company is going into good hands.” Although “off market” acquisitions without a public auction procedure can drive M&A prices upward, Mr. Schulte said this is not so much an issue for smaller German companies.
