Overview
Within the new EU Digital Package, the Data Act is intended to shape the flows of personal and non-personal data between private entities and, for exceptional purposes, with public sector bodies. In this context, it notably focuses on the sharing of connected devices and related connected services’ data, but not only. It will also regulate the cloud business in order to support switching by customers from one service provider to another. Above all, the Data Act will have implications for countries far outside Europe, and Japanese businesses in particular should take note of the requirements imposed.
In this interactive webinar, we discussed key obligations under the Data Act, with a focus on the connected devices and related connected services.
