Kathy Schumacher, an experienced finance lawyer from another major law firm, joined McDermott’s Chicago corporate group as a partner. Ms. Schumacher advises private equity firms and portfolio companies in acquisition financings, and praised McDermott’s “focus on being a full-service provider to its corporate clients and expanding its already strong corporate finance team to further that strategy.” Harris Siskind called Ms. Schumacher “a strong addition to our team,” while Brooks Gruemmer pointed out her “strong track record and breadth of financing experience.”
