McDermott Will & Emery Announces the Results of its Fulbright Scholarship 2021 Program

Overview

On Monday July 26, the candidates pre-selected by the Fulbright Commission were able to present their academic and professional projects to a jury composed of Grégoire Andrieux, Managing Partner, Sabine Naugès, Alexis Werl, Partners in the Paris office, and Ana Cristina Barriendo Escuin, Director of Recruitment, Careers and Training for McDermott in France.

The firm is very pleased to announce that the 2021 winner is Valentine Genieys, a law student, who graduated from the University of Paris Dauphine (Master 2 in Business Law 214, and Master 1 in Business and Tax Law). She has also completed several internships in law firms and companies.

Through the McDermott Will & Emery Scholarship in partnership with the Fulbright Program, Valentine will be attending NYU to pursue the LL.M. “Competition, Innovation and Information Law” during the 2021-2022 academic year.

This year again, it was challenging to choose between the candidates, whose projects were all of very high quality. We would like to congratulate Valentine Genieys for her excellent academic success at Dauphine and we hope that this experience at NYU will be an empowering experience for her and an asset for her future career,” added Grégoire Andrieux, Managing Partner of McDermott Will & Emery in Paris.
