Overview
Jason D. Strabo has significant experience in a range of complex litigation matters, including class action defense, securities litigation, healthcare litigation and white-collar criminal defense. He also has significant trial and arbitration experience. While in law school, Jason served on the board of the Hale Honors Moot Court program.
Results
- Representing senior management of PG&E Corporation and Pacific Gas & Electric Company in securities and derivative litigation stemming from the 2017 and 2018 wildfires, and 2019 public safety power shutoffs.
- Represented senior management of PG&E Corporation and Pacific Gas & Electric Company in derivative litigation stemming from 2010 San Bruno pipeline rupture.
- Represented company in $262 million successor liability, de facto merger, and fraudulent transfer case, which was voluntarily dismissed by plaintiff on the eve of a summary judgment hearing after the court issued a tentative ruling in which it indicated its intent to grant summary judgment in client’s favor.
- Represented private equity firm in multiple matters in which plaintiff asserted claims for fraud, debt recharacterization, and statutory and equitable subordination, in which our client prevailed in the entirety after a multi-week bankruptcy court trial.
- Represented foreign pharmaceutical company in complex multi-jurisdictional patent ownership dispute in which we secured summary judgment in our client’s favor on all claims.
- Represented drug development company in complex patent infringement action raising novel issues regarding scope of Hatch-Waxman safe harbor.
- Represented biotech company in complex antitrust case involving claims for the alleged unlawful bundling of products, monopolization, and attempted monopolization.
- Representing clients in multiple actions alleging claims for the unlawful misappropriation or use of trade secrets.
- Representation of numerous persons and entities in post-merger claims for alleged breaches of merger representations and warranties.
- Representation of multiple dialysis and oncology clinic operators in disputes with provider groups and competitors.
- Representation of numerous hospitals, hospital chains, and healthcare providers in various state and federal False Claims Act, reimbursement, and contractual disputes.
