In February 2023, the Gesellschaft für Immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung e. V. (“gif”) published the new Guideline for the Calculation of Leasable Floor Area for Buildings (“MF-GIF” 2023). In the following, we provide a brief overview of the background to the amendment, the main changes and notes on (rental) contractual inclusion.
