Dr. Johannes Honzen advises national and international companies as well as private equity and other financial investors on real estate matters, in particular on real estate transactions and joint ventures, as well as on corporate law and M&A projects.

He has significant experience in complex single-asset and portfolio transactions by way of asset deals, share deals, or joint venture structures. In recent years, Johannes Honzen has been involved in a large number of major real estate transactions in various asset classes and, in this context, has primarily advised large international real estate funds as well as national companies on all aspects of real estate and corporate law, including project developments.

  • KKR and Mirastar, the European industrial and logistics platform of KKR Real Estate, on the acquisition of a logistics property in Hanover. The transaction is the first acquisition by KKR and Mirastar in this asset class in Germany and also the first German acquisition for KKR’s pan-European Core+ Real Estate strategy.
  • VR Equitypartner (VREP) on the acquisition of a significant minority stake in Midoco Holding GmbH
  • DEMIRE on the sale of an office property to a company of the Merckle group
  • The seller on the sale of the living property Fürstenhöfe in Düsseldorf to CT Real Estate Partners Germany
