McDermott Advises Gauzy on its Acquisition of Vision Systems

Overview

McDermott Will & Emery advised Israeli company Gauzy, a world leader in nanotechnology light control and electrical systems for smart glass, on its acquisition of French company Vision Systems, a leading provider of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and shading solutions for the aeronautic, land transport and marine industries.

This strategic acquisition followed Gauzy’s closing of a successful USD 60 million round D financing, including notable follow-on and new investors.

This acquisition makes the company a leading global provider of light control technologies, shading comfort management systems and ADAS solutions.

The McDermott team in Paris that advised Gauzy comprised:

  • David Revcolevschi, partner, Fanny Rech and Baptiste Tigaud, associates, on corporate aspects.
  • Pierre-Arnoux Mayoly, partner, Stanislas Chenu and Nathalia Tekely, associates, on financing aspects.
  • Côme de Saint Vincent, counsel, on tax aspects.

The McDermott team in New York and Tel Aviv comprised Mark S. Selinger, Meir A. Lewittes, partners (New York) and Gary Emmanuel, partner (Tel Aviv).
