LONDON (21 July, 2017) – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery represented KP Snacks Limited in its acquisition of Tangerine Confectionary Limited’s popcorn business, Butterkist Limited, the number one branded popcorn in the UK.
Tangerine Confectionary, owned by the Blackstone Group, is the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of sugar confectionery and popcorn. KP Snacks Limited is a member of the Intersnack Group which is a longstanding client of McDermott’s.
The cross-border McDermott acquisition team was led by Transactions partners Norbert Schulte and Mark Davis, and included Peter Crichton, Gary Howes, Linda Zeman, Dan Mathias, Matthew Chen and Antonina Nijran advising on corporate matters, Katie Clark, Paul McGrath and Carlene Nicol advising on employment matters, Andrea Hamilton and Christian Krohs advising on competition aspects, and Matthew Herrington advising on tax.
