Dr. Philip Schmidt is specializing in M&A and PE, often with a cross-border context, as well as corporate law, corporate governance and compliance.
Philip advises national and international management bodies and compliance officers on a wide range of related topics, including liability issues, set-up and maintenance of compliance management systems, supply chain management, ESG as well as internal investigations. He has been seconded to a DAX-listed client where he conducted several internal investigations in various jurisdictions across the globe and provided legal advice on diverse compliance matters.
Philip comprehensively advises a number of clients, including DAX- and MDAX-listed companies, on the certification of its compliance management systems.

- Advised Helmut Rothenberger Group on acquisition of an investment shareholding in Leistritz AG*
- Advises Avis Budget on all German corporate and commercial matters including several acquisition of rental stations*
- Advised Chargepoint, Inc. on various corporate law matters and with regard to its business roll-out in Europe*
- Advised a leading company specializing in the operation of computer data centers and provision of internet connection services on several acquisitions and with regard to general corporate law matters*
