Dr. Florian Schiefer focuses his practice on transactional tax and international tax law matters. He advises clients on international corporate and group tax law, international tax planning, transaction tax, real estate taxation and investment taxation.
Prior to joining McDermott, Florian worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Business Taxation at the University of Bamberg and completed his doctorate in 2014 on the topic of “Income Tax Prospects of National and Cross-Border Loss Utilization for European Corporations.” He then worked several years as a chartered tax advisor for a reputable international law firm in Berlin and Frankfurt.
Florian is author of numerous articles and publications on topics surrounding national and international tax law. He is lecturer for international tax law at the University of Bamberg and frequent speaker on tax issues.
