Munich, April 22, 2022 – McDermott Will & Emery advised the shareholder of tsd Technik-Sprachendienst GmbH on the sale of the company to Spain’s SeproTec Multilingual Solutions.
SeproTec, founded in 1989, is one of the world’s largest providers of translation and interpreting services. SeproTec Multilingual Solutions has been part of the portfolio of Spanish private equity investor Nazca Capital since fall 2021. The acquisition from tsd marks the company’s entry into the German market.
tsd Technik-Sprachendienst GmbH was founded in 1978 with a focus on translation of technical content. In 1987, the Freibott family took over the company. Today, in addition to its headquarters in Cologne, tsd has offices in Berlin as well as in the USA, Great Britain, Spain, France, and Brazil, among others, and offers a wide range of language combinations as well as a broad spectrum of subject areas and text types.
Nazca Capital, founded in 2001, is a Spanish private equity management company that invests in unlisted medium-sized Spanish companies.
