Blockchain & the Democratization of Philanthropic Giving - McDermott Will & Emery

Blockchain & the Democratization of Philanthropic Giving

Overview

The Health Finance Institute (HFI), in partnership with Sandclock, will moderate a panel discussion on the opportunities blockchain-based strategies present for new modalities of giving as well as balanced perspectives on challenges in low- and middle-income spaces. Some of the open questions are: how can philanthropy be democratized, more responsive to on-the-ground needs, and connected to impact? And how can these technologies be harnessed to help close the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) financing gaps?

Partner Alexandra Scheibe will be participating in the panel and engaging attendees with questions that HFI and its partners are working to solve.
