Frankfurt, June 12, 2023 – McDermott Will & Emery has advised Main Capital Partners on the sale of RegTech software provider Cleversoft to Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP).

Main Capital Partners invested in Cleversoft in 2018. In the following years, Cleversoft developed from a company focused on the DACH region to a leading provider of regulatory software for financial institutions across Europe. During the investment period, Cleversoft’s revenue more than tripled.

Founded in 2004, Cleversoft evolved into a leading software specialist in the RegTech market, serving globally-acting banks, asset managers, and insurers.

Levine Leichtman Capital Partners is a middle-market private equity firm that currently manages $9.3 billion in assets and has offices in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Charlotte, Miami, London, Stockholm, The Hague and Frankfurt.

The strategic investor Main Capital Partners focuses on investments in the enterprise software sector in Benelux, DACH and Scandinavia. The company manages assets of around €2.2 billion.
