Overview
On July 20–21, 2023, Todd Angkatavanich presented at the Advanced Trusts and Estates Conference hosted by the NYU School of Professional Studies. Todd presented on the panel “Supercharging Trusts: Advanced Techniques to Give an Octane Boost”, which explored techniques to achieve multi-generational tax benefits for family trusts, focusing on the preferred freeze partnership. Todd also presented on the panel “Summer (Tax) Fun in the Sun With 2701”, where he discussed the technical provisions of Section 2701, historical context, and advanced planning applications including preferred partnerships, carried interest transfer planning and profits interests.
