Overview
David F. Wenninger focuses his practice on electronic discovery and data management, primarily in the context of complex civil litigation. He counsels clients and case teams on issues and best practices relating to discovery, data preservation and collection, early case assessment, and comprehensive review management. He has experience in all aspects of discovery, including the management of large-scale document reviews, litigation support, and case management. David is adept at utilizing sophisticated data management tools, such as technology assisted review and analytics, to achieve a more effective and efficient discovery process.
David’s experience includes strategic management of discovery involving litigation, government investigations, and internal corporate investigations related to securities, antitrust, including price fixing and mergers & acquisitions, contracts, intellectual property, including copyright and patent infringement, pharmaceuticals, Medicaid and Medicare fraud, fraudulent advertising, bankruptcy, commodity futures trading, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, civil rights, and employment discrimination. Prior to joining McDermott, David worked as a senior associate for a Discovery Counsel law firm where he advised clients on discovery obligations and strategies.
As part of his commitment to pro bono service, David routinely volunteers at organizations serving underrepresented people. He also donates substantial time to community service, including anti-hunger initiatives and the tutoring of inner city middle school students.
