Overview
Elaine Kao advises clients on corporate matters, focusing on cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions for public and private companies, venture capital investments, as well as joint ventures and restructurings. Elaine also provides general corporate counseling regarding corporate governance and post-acquisition integration matters. In her practice, she has represented clients and investors across a variety of industries, including healthcare, biotech, technology, media, software and specialty chemicals.
While in law school, Elaine was a staff editor for the Berkeley Business Law Journal and Asian American Law Journal. During that time, she interned in the legal department of a peer-to-peer, lending marketplace for small-to-medium-sized businesses.
