Graduated with a PhD in Public Law, Julie Uzan-Naulin has an extensive experience in the regulated sectors especially in the data protection field.
Prior to joining McDermott, Julie Uzan-Naulin was an associate at other prestigious law firms. She was also a legal counsel at the Directorate of Legislative and Legal Policies of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Région Île-de-France.
Julie has written several articles related to personal data issues, and, as such, is co-author of Guide Pratique Lamy Droit du Numérique.
Advised a multinational car manufacturer as part of the policy to be carried out regarding the personal data processing required both technically and commercially for intelligent vehicles*
Advised a B2B and B2C web platform in order to run a compliance audit with regard to EU and national data protection requirements*
Advised a French public institution on the analysis of the different qualifications as data controller (joint or distinct) as well as data processor and drafting of 3 respective sets of “personal data” clauses/ contracts between the data controller and data processor, joint data controllers and distinct data controllers*
Advised an insurance company in relation to the compliance of its health data processing required for the management of claims*
Advised a pharmaceutical laboratory in its project host service provider to make health data transit from questionnaires filled by data subjects themselves managed by a third party entity as medical practitioner*
