IBA 2020 Virtual Conference: Intellectual Property and Insolvency Law – A Comparative Study

Overview

Maris Kandestin will be joining the IBA 2020 Virtual Conference: Intellectual Property and Insolvency Law – A Comparative Study panel discussion which will cover:

  • Intellectual property (“IP”) agreements are often vital to a company’s continuing operations and performance.
  • However, depending on the law in the controlling jurisdiction, IP agreements may be treated differently than the typical executory contract during a bankruptcy proceeding.
  • This can have serious implications for both the debtor and non-debtor parties to an IP agreement.
  • Today’s panelists will discuss the treatment of such contracts under the laws of the following jurisdictions during the bankruptcy process: United States, Netherlands and Singapore
