IP Conference: Employee Inventions

IP Conference: Employee Inventions

Overview

McDermott’s Paris office will host a conference in connection with employees’ inventions with Laura Morelli, counsel and lead of the Paris Intellectual Property Practice and Myrtille Lapuelle, counsel from our Employee Benefits group. The session will address the following themes: the notions of “employer” and “employee” when dealing with seconded employees, independent contractors, executive officers, the notion of “date of completion” of the invention, the procedure when declaring an invention, the consideration due to the inventors-employees, and the issues that may give rise to litigation (patents filed by former employees, statute of limitation issues).”

We hope to see you in Paris on June 5! RSVP with Barbara Bebiano.
